Friday Night
End of August in Orange County, California
An Election Year
Hidden beneath Christo's seat was a flash drive with information of national and global importance.
As he steered his car through the light evening airport traffic his my wandered to when he was every going to fly again.
Pulling up to the departures drop off area, his rider dressed in all black quickly jumped out of the back seat and ran for the gate
not even bothering to shut the door.
“Figures,“ said Christo giving his passenger a 1 star rating before opening his door and getting out of the car.
“No tip. No talk. No respect. No love. People just don t care about their rating.
Wait till he needs a ride at 3am and even the self driving cars wont pick him up.“
Closing the open door, he walked back around the white hybrid and sat back in the baja blanket covered drivers seat. Fuck it, he said to himself
putting the car in drive and preparing his mind for the next ride. Shift my mood into gratitude, he thought. The really good moments of life never come when your angry.
Be the Love. Be the Light. Be the One.
He made his way out of the airport loop still simmering inside despite the positive affirmatinos. “Fa!“ he shouted out loud releasing the last bit of frustration pouring out of him as he pulled up to a red light startling the mother and her three young girlsin the mini van next to him. Apologizing with a sorry and wave of his hand, he rolled up the windows, put on the AC and opened up the streaming radio app on his phone to find music that would put him in a better state of mind. As the light turned green, he crossed through the intersection and entered the rideshare waiting area for another airport pickup. Parked, he reclined his seat as he closed his eyes, rubbing the deep wrinkle through his third eye. Focusing on deep, calming breath, he found his way back to his balanced center with the universe
as another ping from his phone pulled him back to work.
